In the frame of the 2010 Football World Cup in South Africa, a group of activists from Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda was invited to join forces in Johannesburg. There, they shared their approached to use football as an instrument to build up the capacities of young women and young men in order to become agents of change in their social environments. Fatuma Abdulkadir from Marsabit in Northern Kenya is one of them. In her capacity as co-founder and manager of HODI, the Horn of Africa Development Initiative, she visited the Football Stadium "Soccer City".
